The International Quesadhip Ruak School (IQRS) is legally established under the foundation of the Centre Quesadhip Ruak (CQR), which allows the opening of the school, as defined in the foundational article 3 (a), which states: “The CQR foundation refers to the purpose of forming human resources in the area of formal education, starting from kindergarten, elementary, primary, secondary and the University of cooperation between national and international organisations.” The area of formal education within the education network in Timor-Leste and other countries.
Dr. Isabel da Costa Ferreira (deceased) was the founding figure of the CQR’s foundation from 2012 until June 2023. She was succeeded by former General Taur Matan Ruak, a prominent figure in the country’s history and a driving force behind the foundation’s mission to ensure quality education for the next generation of Timorese. Taur Matan Ruak assumed the role of President and founder of the CQR foundation on 20 October 2023.
